ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) -

Services for a South Carolina State University student who was fatally shot on campus last week will take place Saturday, according to Glover's Funeral Home.

The funeral home tells WIS Brandon Robinson, 20, will be remembered by family and friends at 1 p.m. at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.

Robinson was a junior industrial engineering technology major from Orangeburg and played football as an outside linebacker and defensive end for SC State.

The service is open to the public.

Nineteen-year-old SC State student Justin Bernard Singleton was arrested in connection with Robinson's death hours later at a nearby apartment complex. He is currently being held at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center on a murder charge.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division continues to investigate.
