LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Three teens have been arrested in an investigation into home burglaries in Lexington County.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts says detectives arrested 19-year-old Zachary Rabon Varney, 18-year-old Colin Tyler Soles, and 17-year-old Alexander Rhodes Jeffcoat in connection with three home break-ins.  They are charged with criminal conspiracy, second-degree burglary and two counts each of first-degree burglary. All three are held on $320,000 bail at the Lexington County Detention Center.

They are accused of breaking into houses on Hatton Lane, Turtle Cove Court and Brandon Court Friday. Sheriff Metts says they are accused of taking guns and electronics from homes on Turtle Cove Court and Hatton Lane.

According to the arrest warrant, the three attempted to break into a house on Brandon Court Friday afternoon, but the homeowner was home at the time and called the Sheriff's department.  She gave deputies a description of the suspects and the SUV she saw them get into and drive away.

Based on the witness description, a deputy saw the vehicle and pulled it over about one mile away from where the burglary was reported. The homeowner identified Varney as the man who tried to force open the back door of her house.

The arrest warrant says inside the SUV,  deputies found some of the property reported stolen in the burglaries.

Photographs of Soles and Varney are attached to this story.  Jeffcoat's photo is not available through the Lexington County Detention Center because he is 17.
