KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Authorities arrested two men Wednesday in connection with a burglary in Camden.

Perry Lee Mirza, 18, and a 16-year-old were taken into custody with the help of Kershaw County Sheriff's Office bloodhound team, Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said.

Authorities said they received a report of the burglary at Patty's New and Used Things on Jefferson Davis Highway in east Camden.

Deputies determined that entry into the store had been made by smashing out the front door glass and three different shoe impressions were discovered in the dirt parking lot outside the store and in an adjacent parking lot, Matthews said.

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office bloodhound tracking team responded to the scene and was able to lead deputies to a residence on McCrae Rd. where two suspects were detained wearing shoes matching the shoe impressions found in the parking lot, Matthews said.

The homeowner of the residence on McCrae Rd. gave officers permission to search his residence and a subsequent search revealed property stolen from Patty's New and Used Things establishment, Matthews said.

Deputies were able to recover a majority of the stolen property.

A third suspect still remains at large, Matthews said.

Mirza is being detained at the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. The juvenile is being petitioned to family court and is currently under the supervision of his mother.

Matthews said Mirza has previous arrests for minor in possession of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

"In 2013 the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office bloodhound tracking team located 31 suspects from 53 calls for service," Matthews said. "They are a real asset to the Sheriff's Office and do a great job. It looks like they are starting off well for 2014."
