PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

The famous 1970s singing duo Captain and Tennille is getting a divorce.

Toni Tennille, 73, whose real name is Cathryn Antoinette Tennille, filed for divorce against Daryl Dragon, 71, on Jan. 16 in Yavapai County Superior Court in Arizona.

The couple, who performed the hits Love Will Keep Us Together and Muskrat Love, is breaking up after 39 years of marriage.

The pair has lived in Arizona for several years.

Toni's website, tonitennille.net, stated "In 2007, Toni and Daryl bought a piece of property in Prescott, Arizona and built their 'last dream house.' Prescott is where they plan to spend the rest of their lives. Toni and her beautiful Australian Shepherd dog, Smoky, are a Delta Society registered Therapy Dog team. The two visit patients at Yavapai Regional Medical Center weekly. Toni says that Prescott, with its natural beauty and wonderful, friendly people, is a 'perfect fit' for her and Daryl."
