BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Brunswick County Fire units responded to two structure fires that happened less than 10 miles from each other, and that started within 30 minutes of each other in Supply.

Brunswick County fire marshal, Scott Garner says the first of two fires happened at 188 Little Macedonia Road around 9:45 Thursday night, and that the second fire started 25 minutes later at 159 Lula Trail.

One person was transported from the fire that occurred at Little Macedonia Road with non-life threatening injuries.

The fire that happened on Lula Trail totally destroyed a trailer according to Melissa Hewett. Hewett says it was her uncle's trailer that burned. She says the fire started in the heater and jumped into the woods on her family's land. Her nephew was living in the trailer at the time of the fire, but officials say the structure was unoccupied.

Garner says the fires are under investigation, but they do not seem to be related.
