Fans at the Chick-fil-A Classic Friday got to witness the dunk of the year.

Hammond High School sophomore Seventh Woods delivered a major dunk against Dreher High School.

The dunk made national news as a featured Top 10 play on ESPN's Sportscenter.

The tournament, hosted by Richland Northeast High School is a premier national high school basketball tournament, basketball tournament officials say.

The Greater Columbia Education Advancement Foundation sponsors the Chick-fil-A Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament each December.

The mission of the GCEAF is to provide educational scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Greater Columbia area in addition to providing once-in-a-lifetime athletic experiences for the participating student-athletes, coaches, and fans, tournament officials say.

Officials say in the past year $12,000 in scholarships were awarded.

The tournament goes on until Dec. 23.  All games will be played at Richland Northeast High School.
