(WMC-TV) - Not only is a teenage boy's life gone after an accident caused by a suspected drunk driver, but a second family member is fighting for life at The MED.

Thirteen-year-old Hezekiah Keyon Moss' family faces one of the toughest trials they have ever been through.

"Keyon loved god, loved his family, charming, outgoing, good kid. Great in school and just a great-all-around young man," said uncle and pastor Linwood Dillard. "All of a sudden lives were changed and taken because of a freak accident involving a drunk driver."

Dillard said the family left a gathering when tragedy struck. His niece is still struggling for her life at The MED and undergoing a series of surgeries. Another family member is also recovering while a different niece received only a scratch.

"This past weekend our family was tremendously devastated and our lives will never ever be the same again," he said.

Charges against the suspected drunk driver, Quincy Johnson, have been upgraded to vehicular homicide. Investigators said he had a large glass of vodka before the wreck.

Johnson turned himself in Monday night on the vehicular homicide-related charges. He has since posted a $200,000 bond.

Dillard said his family is not going to rest until they see justice won on Keyon's behalf.

"We're dedicated and committed to fight this demon of drunk driving," he said.

In life, his family said Keyon danced for the Lord with praises. Now they say he is dancing before the Lord in spirit.

"Ultimately, that breaks our hearts. So it's a loss of a young man that loved this very place that were standing in. He loved God loved the church," said Dillard. "It is hard, very hard ... But the faith that I have in God, I know that that's what's carrying us through."
