For the second time in three years, South Carolina is poised to return to Orlando and the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day.
The No. 9 Gamecocks (10-2, 6-2 SEC) will face the No. 19 Wisconsin Badgers (9-3, 6-2 Big 10) in the annual Florida bowl.
The Gamecocks have never played the Badgers in the entire history of both football programs.
South Carolina previously visited the Capital One Bowl back in 2011 when they faced and defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Gamecocks' first 11-win season.
Now, Steve Spurrier has the Gamecocks ready for a third potential 11-win season, another superlative that has never been done at South Carolina.
Spurrier also has the opportunity to send senior quarterback Connor Shaw and junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney out with a bang. Shaw is already the winningest quarterback in school history, and Clowney is expected to be a first-round draft pick in next year's NFL Draft.
The old Citrus Bowl has the first pick among bowl-eligible teams after the BCS picks the ten teams for their bowls.
The Capital One Bowl kicks off at the Florida Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day at 1 p.m.
