COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Quarterback Jaquiel Chandler rushed for three touchdowns, including one with less than four minutes left to give Batesburg-Leesville a 28-24 win over Silver Bluff in the South Carolina Class 2A Division II championship game Friday night.

Chandler's 3-yard TD run with 3:25 left put the Panthers up 26-24. Terrance Wilson added a two-point conversion for the final score.

Silver Bluff (12-2) drove to the Batesburg-Leesville 13 on its final drive, but quarterback Jaylen Larwrence was picked off in the end zone by Dontavious Morris on the game's last play.

Batesburg-Leesville (12-2) won its first state crown since 2005. Panthers coach Jerry Brown became just third in state prep history to win titles at three schools. He won at Spring Valley in 1988 and at Berkeley in 1994, 1996 and 2009.

WIS Sports Director Rick Henry was at the game and will bring you all the highlights tonight on the News at 11.
