SELLERSBURG, IN (WAVE) - The bi-annual Leadership Southern Indiana Breakfast Series drew more than 100 people to Sellersburg Thursday to enjoy breakfast with a side of business.

A group of about 120 southern Indiana business leaders greeted Kentucky Kingdom President Ed Hart with thunderous applause during the speaker session on the campus of Ivy Tech Community College.

"It's good to be here in southern Indiana, which is very important to Kentucky Kingdom, because it represents 22 percent of our market," said Hart. "We go where the market is."

From challenges to successes, Hart opened up about the business venture. The CEO even shared his plans for the future, promising to again create value in the amusement park by adding new rides and offering discounts. However, Hart's pledges did not stop there.

"You've all heard the horror stories and so have we," began Hart. "We will create a safe, secure family environment in that park again."

While it's no secret Hart will run Kentucky Kingdom as CEO, he said Thursday he likely would not hop aboard its attractions.

"I generally don't ride any of the rides because I have motion sickness," said Hart.

After sharing photos and videos of more than a dozen forthcoming attractions, Hart entertained audience questions before wrapping up the session with a Kentucky Kingdom ticket giveaway.
