COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Another delay in the case of South Carolina NAACP President Dr. Lonnie Randolph.

The Civil Rights leader had been scheduled to begin his trial Thursday in connection with a July arrested during a disturbance in Five Points.

Randolph was taken into custody after police say he became belligerent and uncooperative inside a Tripp's Dry Cleaning Store. His attorney and several community leaders say Randolph was suffering from a diabetic episode.

Randolph has long struggled with Brittle Type One diabetes and has experience similar problems in the past. His case has been delayed several times.

Randolph's attorney Joe McCulloch tells WIS it appears the trial will not take place until next year.
