RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Richland County Coroner Garry Watts has released the name of the man who drowned Saturday in Lake Carolina.

Divers pulled the body of 43-year-old Clyde Williams from the lake around 1:40 p.m.

A search team from the Richland County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Natural Resources aided in the search for Williams after a passerby saw a small jon fishing boat overturn, said Capt. Robert McCullough with the Department of Natural Resources.

Watts said Williams died as a result of asphyxiation due to drowning.

Lake Carolina is a master-planned community with a private 200 acre lake and 6 miles of shoreline, according to LakeCarolina.com.
