AIKEN, SC (WIS) -

The Aiken Department of Public Safety is asking for the community's assistance in locating a man wanted for armed robbery.

Authorities say John Lyndon Upson and another man approached a Captain D's employee on Nov. 27 while he was taking out the trash.

One of the men placed a gun to the employee's head and demanded another employee to open the safe, said Detective Jeremy Hembree with the Aiken Department of Public Safety,

The employees complied and then were placed into the freezer as the two suspects fled the scene, Hembree said.

The Department has issued an arrest warrant for Upson for robbery while armed with a deadly weapon.

Anyone with any further information related to this incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Callers will remain anonymous, and could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
