Surveillance video released in Dunkin' Donuts armed robbery

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A clerk at a Columbia Dunkin' Donuts was beaten with a handgun last week during a robbery, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Sergeant Curtis Wilson says the suspect entered the store on Broad River Road near the Boozer Shopping Center around 10 p.m Nov. 25.

After jumping over the counter, the robber pointed his weapon at a female clerk and forced her to a back room. That is where he beat her with the handgun, according to Wilson.

The robber then forced the clerk to open the register, and he grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance equipment inside the business and is described as a black male, wearing a black hat, camouflage face covering, black sweater, khaki pants, and gloves.
