COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Traffic on Interstate 26 northwest of Columbia is moving again after crews removed an overturned tractor-trailer from the roadway.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. The truck came to rest on its side in the median near mile marker 97, which is in the vicinity of the Peak exit.

For about two and a half hours, emergency crews intermittently closed portions of the eastbound and westbound lanes during cleanup.

At 10:20 a.m., crews moved the tractor-trailer out of the median and towed it away.

The driver of the truck was transported to an area hospital.
