Coroner identifies man who died in I-20 crash

One person was killed after running into a guardrail near I-20 and Broad River Road Saturday.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins said the vehicle was heading eastbound on I-20 when the driver lost control and crashed into the guardrail.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified the driver as 38-year-old Michael A. Robinson of Batesburg-Leesville.

The coroner said Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene from multi-trauma associated with the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The accident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
