Two men, 18 and 20, killed after car crashes into utility pole

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Two people were killed in Lexington County Thursday morning after a car struck a utility pole, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Investigators say the two were inside a 1999 Pontiac Firebird that ran off the side of Pond Branch Road and struck the pole around 2:45 a.m.

The Lexington County Coroner's Office said 20-year-old Nicholas Anthony Critzman and 18-year-old Jack Laverne Chandler, III were the victims in this crash. Both were from Lexington.

Critzman and Chandler were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol. They were wearing seatbelts.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
