GREENWOOD, SC (WYFF) - Police have arrested a man after the bodies of two women were discovered in a motel Wednesday evening, according to the Greenwood Police Department.

According to police, Terrance Thomas, 28, of Greenwood was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of murder and one count of using a deadly weapon during a violent crime.

Thomas will go before a judge Friday morning for arraignment, police said.

According to police, the two bodies were found in a room at the Extended Stay Motel by a maintenance worker at 5 p.m.

David Wood identified himself as the maintenance worker to News 4.  He said, "I looked in the curtain, and I saw a woman laying there with blood all over her face so I called 911 immediately."

Wood told police the door was partially open.

According to police, both bodies had gunshot wounds and they are investigating the shooting as a double homicide.

Greenwood County Coroner Sonny Cox identified the victims as Elizabeth Brooke Bourne, of Greenwood, who would have turned 34 Thursday, and 38-year-old Danielle Quinn Graham, of Ware Shoals.

The relationship between the victims is not known at this time, said Cox.

"My priority right now is to keep in contact with the families," said Cox.  "I'm here for them and to keep them informed.  I am also working in partnership with law enforcement to help solve this crime."

Cox said autopsies on the women would begin mid-morning Thursday in Anderson.

According to police, there are no suspects at this time and it is not known if there is any immediate danger to the community.

The Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating the shooting, said police.

A motel worker who did not want to be identified said she was in shock when she saw the news Wednesday night.

The worker told News 4's Sean Muserallo she'd seen one of the women several times during the complimentary breakfast period in the front lobby.

The worker told Muserallo the woman appeared upset the morning she was shot, but would not divulge why the woman was upset.

The motel worker said she has been interviewed by a detective working the case.
