Some high School football games across the Midlands have been rescheduled due to weather.
The Mid Carolina v. Newberry High School football game scheduled for Friday has been postponed until Saturday night at 7:00pm, the Newberry County Sheriff's Office said.
The game will be played at Mike Ware Field on the campus of Newberry High School.
Portions of the field are underwater and the access points are extremely wet, the Newberry County Sheriff's Office said. All pre-purchased tickets and passes will be honored.
School officials have also postponed the Batesburg-Leesville v. Saluda game tonight and will play tomorrow at 6 p.m.
Advance tickets purchased for the game Friday will be honored at the game on Nov 2, school officials said. All BLHS senior athletes and band members and their parents should be at the visitor's side of the field at 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 2 to line up for Senior Recognition.
The Recognition will begin at 5:40 p.m. The Talk to the Hands Sign Language Club will not perform at the game on Saturday.
Keenan v. Pelion and Lower Richland v. Westwood games have also been rescheduled until Saturday at 6 p.m., school officials said.
