Lady Cavs handle Fillies, 3-1

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

As the regular season winds down, the Darton State Lady Cavaliers want to keep the momentum rolling as they approach the Region Tournament.

They did just that Monday, easily handling a shorthanded ABAC Fillies squad, 3-1.

The Lady Cavs stayed on the attack early, but turned up the heat after Nikita Morris drew a red card early in the first half.

Shortly after, Brianna Lemerise scored to put the Lady Cavs ahead 1-0.

ABAC didn't go away, putting together some runs and even some shots.

But the Lady Cavs easily handled the Fillies.

Darton State will close out their regular season at Gordon State Friday.

The loss finished the Fillies' regular season.
