Two Golden Rams earn SIAC weekly honors

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two Albany State Golden Rams have earned SIAC weekly honors for their roles in a much-needed blowout win Saturday.

QB Frank Rivers is the conference newcomer of the week. The junior carved up the Morehouse defense, completing 10 of his 16 pass attempts for 194 yards and five touchdowns.

DB Quintory Braswell earned special teams player of the week for his performance returning punts.

The highlight was the 57 yard return for a TD in the first quarter. In total, Braswell returned five punts for 128 yards.

The Golden Rams left the homecoming crowd happy, easily handling Morehouse 42-20 for their first conference win of the season.

ASU travels to Clark Atlanta Saturday.
