BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - The sheriff in Marlboro County is asking for the public's help to identify three people they believe robbed a man at gunpoint.

The man was robbed Thursday night in his barber shop in Bennettsville. The three men suspected of robbing had just received haircuts, and came back to the business to talk to the victim.

Witnesses gave these descriptions of the suspects:

  • African-American male, bald, around 5'6'' or 5'7" tall, weighs around 140 pounds
  • African-American male, bald, around 5'6" or 5'7" tall, weighs around 160 pounds
  • African-American female, long hair, slim build

Witnesses say both men have facial hair and one had a thin beard. They were driving a mid-90s white Chevrolet Caprice with "aftermarket Dayton Rims and straight pipes in the back."

"We are asking everyone to take a look at these composite drawings prepared by SLED and call us if you recognize anyone or the vehicle description. Just call 911 or the MCSO at 843-479-5605 and ask them to connect you to Lt. Jamie Seales. The suspects were armed and stole a firearm so we are considering them armed and dangerous. We thank you in advance for any and all help," said Sheriff Fred Knight.
