Two people who played roles in the murder of a state constable were denied parole during a hearing on Wednesday.

Asia Prioleau, 28, and 31-year-old Jerome Washington were denied parole for charges of accessory after the murder in connection to the 2007 killing of State Constable Robert Bailey.

"Asia literally has blood on her hands from the crime and I want her to stay in," said Bailey's son-in-law and partner Carmine D'Amato during the hearing."If she has blood on her hands, she's just as guilty if she held the gun."

Bailey's family members were present during the hearing where they pleaded with the parole board to keep Prioleau and Washington behind bars. Prioleau is serving 15 years, while Washington is serving 12 years.

"We're very pleased with the outcome," said Bailey's son Robert L. Bailey Jr. following the hearing. "It's a nightmare every time we come back. We relive it. [Prioleau and Washington] talk to their family. We can't talk to dad...We're sentenced to nightmares for life."

Bailey, 67, of Ladson, was gunned down by Walter Fayall during a traffic stop in Lincolnville in 2007. Bailey's body was found buried in Orangeburg County. Prioleau was Fayall's girlfriend and witnessed the murder. She and Washington tried to cover up the killing.

Washington also helped Fayall take Bailey's body to Orangeburg County.

Fayall, the trigger man in the constable's murder, was sentenced to life in prison.
