ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Fresh off a National Tournament appearance, the Darton State Lady Cavs basketball team is gearing up for another run.

The Cavs will host 27 other junior college teams Saturday for the Southeast Juco Jamboree.

Head coach Lea Henry has 8 sophomores returning, along with three Division I transfers this season.

She says it'll be good for her team to take on good competition before the season starts.

"Right now, everyone is just trying to see where you are," Henry says.

The jamboree will feature six of the NJCAA preseason top ten teams.

While Henry is glad to see her team plays against other top teams, she's also happy about the exposure her players will receive.

"We're anticipating between 100 and 150 Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools in attendance on Saturday to evaluate the players," Henry says. "You'll have at least 450 junior college players in one gym on one day and that's pretty big."

The tournament starts Saturday morning, and will run all day at the Cavalier Arena.

Admission is $7.00.
