MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A Mid-South woman faced a judge Monday on multiple drunk driving and child restraint charges.

A Shelby County deputy pulled over Martha Eulls Saturday night on Riverdale Road after a driver hailed down the officer to report that Eulls' Cadillac was swerving and crossing lanes.

The sheriff's office reported Eulls reeked of liquor and had four children with her in the car.

None of the children, who ranged in age from three to seven, were in a car seat or wearing seat belts.

The sheriff's deputy also said Eulls' speech was slurred and she was unsteady on her feet.

The deputy found a large, half-empty bottle of gin in the back seat and said Eulls failed all field sobriety tests.

"The quick work of the officer to get that vehicle to a safe stop, make sure all the occupants inside were safe ... So we don't have to talks about this as a tragic circumstance now," said Shelby County Sheriff's Spokesman, Chip Washington.

Eulls is charged with DUI, violating the open container law, public intoxication, reckless driving, violating the child restraint law and driving without insurance.
