Woman in custody after stabbing at Myrtle Beach hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police have taken a woman into custody after a stabbing on North Ocean Boulevard Monday night.

The police report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department says 41-year-old Catherine Boineau from Myrtle Beach was the suspect in the stabbing incident reported at a hotel at 210 North Ocean Boulevard around 7:37 p.m. It also says that she was under the influence of alcohol.

The first police officer to arrive on the scene said the victim was laying on the ground in front of the hotel lobby with three to four people around him, who said he had been stabbed.

A Myrtle Beach Police sergeant confirmed to man transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Boineau was booked into Myrtle Beach Jail and charged with attempted murder.
