Ellenwood kidnapped girl found, 2 arrested, 2 suspects at large

Arrested: Wildrego Jackson Arrested: Wildrego Jackson
ELLENWOOD, GA (CBS46) -

A missing 14-year-old girl kidnapped from her home early Tuesday morning was found Wednesday afternoon.

Ayvani Hope Perez was found walking along Covington Highway in Conyers, according to police.

Ayvani is now safe with her family.

Lucille Howard, the Perezs' next-door neighbor, said the teen appeared to be in good spirits, despite her ordeal.

"She was smiling. She looked happy to be home. A look of relief was all over her," Howard said.

Police arrested two men.

One of the suspects Wildrego Jackson, 29, of Atlanta, was arrested coming out of court. He is being held on charges of conspiracy to kidnapping.

Another suspect, Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, 40, was also arrested. Contreras-Rodriguez is a Mexican national and is currently being held on U.S. immigration-related charges by the Federal Homeland Security investigators.

Police said two other suspects are wanted in this case but had no additional information on them.

A cousin of Ayvani told CBS News that the girl's kidnappers had demanded a ransom of $10,000 for her return. Law enforcement authorities would not confirm a ransom is involved.

According to Clayton County police, two men - apparently strangers to the family - pried open the back door of the home on Brookgate Drive at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. The men shot the family dog, police said, and demanded money and jewelry. When the mother said she didn't have any money or jewelry, the men took the girl, police said.

The armed men got away in a gray or dark blue car, possibly a Dodge or Chevrolet, police said.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call a tip line at 770-477-3513.
