Two sought in Columbia vehicle theft

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help to identify two men wanted in connection with a vehicle theft early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Leon Lott said two men were in the Mountain Brook neighborhood in the 2500 block of Pleasant Ridge Drive and stole a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup truck around 1 a.m.

Authorities describe one of the suspect's as white, wearing a dark T-Shirt and dark baseball cap. The second suspect is described as black, wearing a white polo shirt with dark stripes, dark pants, and has facial hair.     

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or  text "TIPSC plus your message" to CRIMES (274637).

The sheriff's department is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible.
