MTV's '16 and Pregnant' filming in Myrtle Beach next week

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Another reality show will be filming along the Grand Strand soon.

MTV's "16 and Pregnant" will be filming along the Myrtle Beach boardwalk on Tuesday.

City Spokesperson Mark Kruea says the filming will be fairly low-key, so it doesn't really require a lot of clearance from the city. The show plans on filming at a restaurant and along the boardwalk.

Right now, it's unclear if filming will be just for one day or for multiple days.

"16 and Pregnant" is in its fifth season, and follows stories of pregnant high school girls dealing with the issues that come from a teenage pregnancy.

This is the fourth reality show to film in the Grand Strand this year: "Welcome to Myrtle Manor" premiered on March 3, 2013 on TLC, and "The Dirty South," filmed in Murrells Inlet, is expected to air on CMT this fall. Food Network's "Restaurant Impossible" filmed an episode at Old World Italian in Murrells Inlet in January.
