COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Authorities are hoping the release of surveillance video from a liquor store robbery will lead to the arrest of the man responsible.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday at a liquor store in the 3900 block of Farrow Road, which is near SC 277.

The suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at an employee and demanding money.

After taking cash from the register, the suspect got into the rear passenger seat of a gray Dodge Sedan that sped from the area.

The suspect is described as a black male with a slight goatee, wearing a stocking cap and black shirt.

If you can identify the man in the video, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
