DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A 31-year-old Lugoff man has been arrested and charged with criminal solicitation of a minor, according to the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.

Adam Dale Triplett of Railgate Loop was taken into custody on Friday inside the Camden-based hospital. Multiple sources tell WIS, eight deputies with the U.S. Marshals Service went into the hospital and arrested Triplett on the job. Triplett is a "PC Technician" for KershawHealth, according to hospital Human Resources Director Angela Nettles.

An arrest warrant indicates Triplett sent text messages on August 16 & 17 to a 14-year-old girl about dreams he had about her. According the warrant, Triplett asked the girl to send him naked pictures of herself and he asked the girl if he could touch her.

The alleged victim's father showed the text messages to officers who then investigated the case.

Triplett started working at KershawHealth on Oct. 2, 2006 Nettles wrote in an email. Triplett is still employed with KershawHealth, but is under "administrative leave," according to Nettles.

The hospital is conducting its own internal investigation into whether Triplett may have used any hospital or county equipment to commit any acts similar to what he's charged with out of Darlington County. "Yes, KershawHealth is conducting an internal investigation which is pending," KershawHealth Foundation Executive Director, Joseph Bruce wrote in an emailed statement to WIS.

Triplett was released from the Darlington County Detention Center on a $35,000 surety bond.
