ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell is asking for the community's help in identifying three males who broke into an Orangeburg District 4 school in late July.

The sheriff's department released images taken from video surveillance footage of the three men who were in Edisto Elementary School in the early morning hours of July 24.

The trio removed the fire extinguisher from a hallway and sprayed that section of the hall. The suspects also helped themselves to some ice cream in the teacher's lounge. A window to the classroom was also smashed.

"We are confident that someone will recognize these young men and contact the sheriff's office or Crimestoppers to turn them in," said Ravenell. "The sheriff's office is working closely with all district superintendents to ensure that the start of the 2013 school year is safe and the appropriate resources are available to protect our students."

If you recognize the men in the surveillance image or know anything about the incident, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
