Storms will be likely this evening, then once again on Tuesday as a front approaches and moves through our area. Damaging wind and heavy rain will be the primary threats with storms that develop. Best chance of storms on Tuesday for the mountains will be morning to early afternoon. For the Upstate it will be early afternoon to late day.
A cool air wedge will build in as high pressure settles in from the north on Wednesday. This will keep some clouds around, and a northeast, cooler breeze! That means temps will be about 5-10 degrees cooler than normal for middle to late week (the wedge persists for a while!).
The bad thing about the wedge... it keeps clouds around and a chance of showers each day. However, rain shouldn't be all that heavy, and the threat of severe weather will be low.
So...we'll go from the low 90s to upper 70s from today to Thursday!
