SUMTER, SC (WIS) -

Sumter County Sheriff's Department investigators are looking for a man they believe may have started a fire at a storage facility in early August.

The Sumter County Fire Department was called to the Public Storage units at 1277 Camden Highway around 10:30 p.m. on August 5.

Surveillance images taken at the facility show a man near the units shortly before the fire was reported.

A fire department spokesperson says the fire damaged 48 units and caused $150K in structural damage and another $80K in damage to contents stored at the facility.

The sheriff's department has classified the case as arson.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance images or know anything about the fire, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
