Troopers: Woman ejected in I-20 fatal crash was wearing seat belt

A woman was killed Monday afternoon after the car she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 20 near mile marker 120.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the unidentified woman was driving eastbound on I-20 around 1:11 p.m. when her car crossed the median and struck the westbound truck.

Troopers say the woman was ejected from the car. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators say she was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
