(RNN) - The USA Today Sports preseason college football is out, and Alabama is again on top.

The Crimson Tide got 58 of 62 first-place votes, and coach Nick Saban offered his usual response to high expectations.

"We aren't entitled to anything," said Saban, who is hunting his third straight national championship and his fourth in five years at Bama. "And this team's achievements will be based on what they create with the quality of their play in consistency in performance."

The Southeastern Conference, which has produced the last seven BCS National Champions, placed six teams in the top 13, more than any other league.

Last year's SEC East Division champion Georgia, who Alabama clipped in the SEC Championship Game last year on the way to beating Notre Dame for the national title, is ranked fifth.

West Division rival Texas A&M, who Alabama plays Sept. 14, is ranked sixth. The Aggies, led by quarterback Johnny Manziel, were the only team to beat Alabama last year.

South Carolina is ranked seventh, Florida is 10th and LSU is ranked No. 11.

Ohio State is second, one of five Big Ten teams in the poll, and Oregon, at third, is the highest ranked of five Pac 12 teams.
