Deputies in Rowan County say a mostly-naked man was arrested and charged after he was spotted walking down the street with his pants in his hand.

According to a Rowan County Sheriff's Report, deputies were called to Mt. Hope Church Road around 12:47 a.m. Saturday morning to reports of a naked man walking along the street wearing only a shirt.

A deputies spotted the nearly-naked man standing along Cruse Road, near the edge of the woods.

According to the report, the man was "completely exposed from the waist down and he had his rear end facing the road as he was slightly bent over as if he was urinating."

The deputy reportedly pulled over and the man, later identified as Efren Sanchez, stared "directly into my alley lights and continued to walk" down the street.

Sanchez was then told to put his pants on, as he was holding them in his hand.

He told the deputy "No, it's okay," according to the report. He was then told to put on his pants again and finally complied with the deputies instructions.

Sanchez didn't have any identification on him, but offered to write his name down for the deputy, according to the report.

When asked why he was walking down the street without any pants, Sanchez reportedly acted as if he didn't understand the question.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $500 bond.
