FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Police in Florence County have arrested a second suspect, charged in connection with the alleged theft of five riding lawnmowers in Florence County in July.

Laquinn Rochio James, 34, was arrested and charged with four counts of petit larceny and one count of property crime enhancement.

Reece Lyde was later arrested and charged with petit larceny.

According to FCSO investigators, James is alleged to have stolen five riding lawn mowers from homes on South Mayfair Terrace, Cherry Johnson Road, Lakeview Drive and Pamplico Highway between July 16 and July 25.

James is being held at the Florence County Detention Center on a $10,000 surety bond. Lyde was released on August 3.
