Propane thieves hit Toledo business

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are looking for thieves who are ripping off stores for propane tanks. There have been at least two instances just this week.

This time, the thieves hit the Meijer on Alexis Road. The store manager says they snatched up over a dozen propane tanks.

According to police reports, this latest incident happened Wednesday. Two men were spotted getting out of a vehicle and cutting the locks off a propane case, and stealing the tanks.

On Tuesday, 38 tanks were stolen from two stores in Oregon.

Anyone with information on who is responsible for these crimes is urged to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
