COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin has raised more money than the two men running against him combined.

The incumbent received more than $108,000 for his re-election campaign during the second quarter of 2013, according to a campaign disclosure report filed with the SC State Ethics Commission.

His challengers, Columbia City Councilman Moe Baddourah and businessman Larry Sypolt, reported raising $12,119.93 and $1,900 respectively for the same period.

"I am humbled and honored that so many individuals across our great city are willing to share their hard-earned treasures in support of our campaign," Benjamin said. "These generous donations give us the momentum we need to go to November and win."

Benjamin's campaign has over $100,000 on hand to spend with more than a full fundraising quarter remaining before the November 5 election. Baddourah's campaign reports a little over $16,600 in its coffers. Sypolt has $2802.00 on hand.
