Columbia Police investigators have identified a "person of interest" they want to speak with in connection to the suspected gang shooting that wounded a 4-year-old at Colony Apartments.

Officials say they are seeking 20-year-old Laquan Natt because they believe he may have information about the shooting.

CPD says Natt should be considered armed and dangerous.

Natt is also a suspect in an armed robbery at the 1500 block of Bailey Street back on June 18. He and several others are accused of stealing several items from that residence.

CPD plans to charge Natt with four counts of armed robbery, kidnapping, first degree assault and battery, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Police officers were called to the Colony Apartments neighborhood late Monday night following a shootout between two suspected groups of gang members.

In the exchange of gunfire, 4-year-old Zahara Walker was wounded and had to be taken to Palmetto Health Richland where she currently remains.
