COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia Police say they arrested three gang members in connection with a shooting earlier this month.

19-year-old Shawn Eric Moody and 17-year old Tyquan Marquise Williams are charged with two counts each of attempted murder. A 15-year-old was charged as a juvenile in connection with the shooting.

They are accused of shooting two people from a car on June 10th in the 1100 block of King Street, near Bratton Street.  One of the victims was shot in the head, the other was shot in the leg. Both were treated at the hospital and released.

Police say one of the victims ran to a house nearby to call 911.

Columbia Police investigators suspect the shooting was gang motivated, stemming from a previous fight involving gang members. Investigators say all of the suspects are documented members of gangs.

Investigators believe the suspects were trying to target another person at the scene.

Interim Columbia Police Chief Ruben Santiago encourages citizens to report any suspected gang activity by calling Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
