COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A Richland County teen who has been missing since last Tuesday has been located unharmed, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Officials say 16-year-old Mariah Carrion was found just before noon after investigators received a tip that she may be at a friend's house on Barmettler Place.

Richland County deputies went to the home and immediately found the teen.

Carrion has been arrested and charged with a violation of a court order.

The teen had just completed her first year of high school when she left her Pine Grove Road home.

Carrion's father, William, said he noticed she was missing Tuesday after he returned home from work and found a letter from her saying she was leaving.
