RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Richland County Sheriff's deputies are asking the community to help them find a missing teen.

Investigators say 16-year-old Mariah Carrion was last seen at her home on Pine Grove Road in Blythewood. Her father reported her missing Tuesday after returning home from work and finding a letter saying she was leaving.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Carrion has serious medical conditions that can put her at risk.

"The father is very concerned about her whereabouts and not only that but she also has some medical conditions and issues that he's concerned with as well," said Richland County Deputy Curtis Wilson. "That's why its very important for us to locate her and get her home safely."

"Just understand that she's my daughter and she's just a little girl," said Carrion's father, William.

Mariah just completed her first year of high school.

"She takes medications and she doesn't have them with her and she's out there all alone," said Carrion.

He said Mariah does not have a driver's license or any type of ID with her. In the last four days, the unknown has taken a toll on him.

"She could have left the state by now and just not knowing where she's at makes it hard to get through the day," said Carrion.

She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 120 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.   There is no description of her clothing. If you have seen her, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
