Sheriff: Career criminals arrested after breaking into water plant vehicles

Kershaw County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested two career criminals after they broke into several vehicles parked inside the shop area of the Cassatt Water Company.

Deputies arrested John Cleadus Hunter (35) and William Harvey Martin (41) after they broke into Cassatt Water Company vehicles and stole gas and tools, the report stated.

The report said around 1:30am on June 16, deputies responded to an alarm call at the Cassatt Water Company. The first deputy on the scene discovered the area where Hunter and Martin had crawled under a perimeter fence and entered the shop.

Deputies say the two men stole fuel from two of the company vehicles and broke into the toolboxes of the company trucks, stealing various tools.
