Brett joined the WIS team in April 2013 as an investigative reporter after leaving WJBF, the ABC affiliate in Augusta, Georgia.
Brett grew up in Thomson, Georgia, about 30 miles east of Augusta. His career in broadcast news started his senior year of high school, when he was running studio camera and audio at WRDW-TV in Augusta.
He worked his way up from there, spending time as a news photographer in both Augusta and Jacksonville, Florida, eventually working his way to an on-air position.
In 2012, Brett was nominated for a regional Emmy for investigative reporting after he uncovered a public ambulance service that was refusing to take people to the hospital.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with friends at the lake, a nice round of golf and can pretty much quote every line from the movie "Anchorman."
Even though he's a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan, Brett is proud to now call Columbia home.
