LANCASTER COUNTY, SC (WBTV) -

Authorities in Lancaster have arrested two men they say hit two patrol cars while fleeing a burglary.

The incident began when an alert citizen saw suspicious activity at their neighbor's house on Sedgefield Drive around 10 a.m. The witness called their neighbor, and then called deputies.

As deputies arrived, they saw the alleged burglars leaving the neighborhood and stopped their patrol cars in the road in an attempt to stop the duo. However, the men drove into the deputies' cars and through the road block.

The vehicle was located a short distance away after it apparently crashed into a fence, with property stolen from the home inside. The men, deputies said, had fled the scene on foot.

K-9 Units and a helicopter from the State Law Enforcement Division were called in and began tracking the men, later identified as Terence Lamont Grier, 23, and Quindricus Mondra Tinsley, 22.

Grier was found in a nearby neighborhood, and Tinsley was found several hours later, having left the immediate area, officials said.

Grier was charged with first degree burglary, two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and malicious injury to property.

Tinsley was charged with second degree burglary.
