NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A Fort Dorchester High School student was arrested Saturday morning right after he got his diploma at graduation ceremonies.

North Charleston Police say 18-year-old Ryan Randall Deaton had sex with two underage girls while another teen videotaped the sex acts on a cell phone.

Court papers state the sex was captured on cell phone video and in still photos.

Authorities say the girls were 14 and 15 years old at the time.

According to an incident report, the sex happened at a home back in February and was brought to the attention of a Fort Dorchester assistant principal, who then notified the school resource officer.

Deaton was arrested at the North Charleston Coliseum where the graduation ceremonies were held.

Later in the day police arrested a second suspect, 19-year-old Michael Gerard Crudden. He was also scheduled to graduate, and received his diploma.

Police say Crudden was the one who videotaped the sex acts on the cell phone.

According to court affidavits, when police reviewed the video, they heard a male voice asking, "Michael are you getting it?" and that Michael replied "Yes."

The documents state investigators said Crudden has a distinct Irish accent, which makes his voice readily distinguishable from the other voices in the video.

Crudden was charged with 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor. His bond was set at $50,000. Crudden was still in the Dorchester County Jail as of Tuesday afternoon.

Deaton was charged with seven counts of either 2nd or 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Deaton was freed on a personal recognizance bond, according to court officials.
