Deputies: Man beaten, tied up while thieves steal computers

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – A man was beaten and tied up Monday night during a robbery on Broad River Road, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's department spokesperson Curtis Wilson says the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. inside a business located at 3005 Broad River Road.

Wilson says the victim was assaulted and tied up by two unknown black males.

The man was able to get loose, but the victims forced him through the building while they stole several laptops, tablets and other items, Wilson said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay.

Authorities did not provide a better description of the suspects.
