CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A Delta flight out of Charleston bound for New York City made an emergency stop in North Carolina Saturday morning after a warning indicator went off in the cockpit, according to an official with the airline.

Michael Thomas with Delta says pilots of Delta flight 6194 decided to divert the aircraft to Raleigh-Durham International Airport as a precaution after receiving the warning. The plane, which flew out of Charleston International Airport, landed in Raleigh without incident around 9:12 a.m.

It is not clear at this time what the warning indicator was for.

Thomas say passengers were moved to another aircraft, which later arrived safely at LaGuardia airport at 12:06 p.m.

The flight was operated by GoJet Airlines, according to Thomas.
